Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge was founded on the principals of honesty and integrity.

With these values always front and center, our goal is to provide needed and useful home watch and concierge services that give our clients great peace of mind and more time back in their day.

Our People

Dan began his career as a registered pharmacist in Western Pennsylvania. Moving to Northern Virginia in 1998, he changed fields completely and started what was to become a very successful career in software. Over the next 20 years (Y2K, the Internet, the rise of the Cloud, CRM, Big Data and the exponential growth of computer viruses and malware) he held various positions within the enterprise software industry, ultimately settling into the fast-moving world of cybersecurity/cyber threat intelligence. Dan has had the opportunity of working with many of the largest enterprise customers in the Mid-Atlantic region.

With an abundance of experience in sales, information technology, cybersecurity, and home repair; and a solid understanding of the importance of building strong client relationships, it was time to put all of that knowledge to work to help others. In 2017, Dan envisioned services that would benefit homeowners in the Northern Virginia/Washington metro area. Developing the Hi-Tech Hi-Touch Home Watch System℠ and CarWatch℠ approaches to monitoring homes and automobiles for their absentee owners, Dan co-founded Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge to provide innovative home watch services in Northern Virginia.

A native of Western Pennsylvania, Amy moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2002. She enjoys the amazing opportunities that living in the Washington, D.C. metro area offer her family. With a degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, Amy has worked extensively within the healthcare system. Working with informatics and process improvement was a perfect use for Amy’s skills. She embraces the usefulness and possibilities of technology but understands that providing client services needs to be based upon the wants and desires of the individual. She believes that only by thoroughly listening to and seeking to understand what they have in mind can a solution be found.

Bringing this mindset to Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge, Amy has the goal of providing superior service to every client. Fundamental to establishing a strong relationship is making sure our clients are well educated and fully aware of every aspect of the services Golden Rule provides. When clients are informed and confident, their interactions with Golden Rule will result in improved peace of mind and more time in their day.

Giving Back

It is our desire to live out the Golden Rule in all areas of our life. We believe that as members of a community, we should give back as much as we receive. Since making our home in Northern Virginia twenty years ago, we have volunteered our time and resources to our children’s schools, neighborhood associations, churches, and various non-profit organizations such as Generosity Feeds, Cornerstones, Central Union Mission, Western Fairfax Christian Ministries and Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Initiative.

At Golden Rule, one of our priorities is to ensure that our company is able to give back to the community we serve. One of our key goals is to help those who lack the basic necessities of life – food and shelter.
