Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge was founded on the principals of honesty and integrity.

Our People

Dan began his career as a registered pharmacist in Western Pennsylvania. Moving to Northern Virginia in 1998, he changed fields completely and started what was to become a very successful career in software. Over the next 20 years (Y2K, the Internet, the rise of the Cloud, CRM, Big Data and the exponential growth of computer viruses and malware) he held various positions within the enterprise software industry, ultimately settling into the fast-moving world of cybersecurity/cyber threat intelligence. Dan has had the opportunity of working with many of the largest enterprise customers in the Mid-Atlantic region.

With an abundance of experience in sales, information technology, cybersecurity, and home repair; and a solid understanding of the importance of building strong client relationships, it was time to put all of that knowledge to work to help others. In 2017, Dan envisioned services that would benefit homeowners in the Northern Virginia/Washington metro area. Developing the Hi-Tech Hi-Touch Home Watch System℠ and CarWatch℠ approaches to monitoring homes and automobiles for their absentee owners, Dan co-founded Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge to provide innovative home watch services in Northern Virginia.

A native of Western Pennsylvania, Amy moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2002. She enjoys the amazing opportunities that living in the Washington, D.C. metro area offer her family. With a degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, Amy has worked extensively within the healthcare system. Working with informatics and process improvement was a perfect use for Amy’s skills. She embraces the usefulness and possibilities of technology but understands that providing client services needs to be based upon the wants and desires of the individual. She believes that only by thoroughly listening to and seeking to understand what they have in mind can a solution be found.

Bringing this mindset to Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge, Amy has the goal of providing superior service to every client. Fundamental to establishing a strong relationship is making sure our clients are well educated and fully aware of every aspect of the services Golden Rule provides. When clients are informed and confident, their interactions with Golden Rule will result in improved peace of mind and more time in their day.

Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Jenny has witnessed many changes both in Fairfax and Loudoun over the past years. After graduating from James Madison University with her degree in Education, she taught in private schools for 7 years. She married Steve in 1993. They have 5 children whom Jenny home schooled for the past 20 years.

With her last home school graduate heading off to college this past fall, Jenny was looking for what she might do next. She was excited to step into this home watch role with Golden Rule Home Watch & Concierge.

Combining her past work and life experience with home watch training and familiarity with home systems, Jenny desires to provide excellent service and attention to detail in caring for clients’ homes. “For most people, their home may be their greatest investment and also the place where special memories are made”.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Yvonne returned to that area after college to teach junior high and high school Spanish for three years. She then joined the Coast Guard and served for eight years as an officer in San Juan, Puerto Rico and in the DC metro area. She fulfilled various roles in the Coast Guard, providing support to the Greater Antilles Section in Puerto Rico, including serving as an international liaison, working as a Sector Leader in recruiting, and as a senior watch officer in intelligence, where she held a top-secret clearance. During her time in the Coast Guard, Yvonne married her husband, Joe. They have a son and a daughter.

After leaving the Coast Guard, Yvonne became a stay-at-home mom and later a homeschooling mom. During her years of homeschooling, Yvonne taught Spanish and English in the homeschool community.

Throughout her life, Yvonne has had numerous service-oriented jobs and she understands the importance of understanding and meeting the client’s needs. Yvonne has been trained in home watch, home systems, and is very detail-oriented. She is excited to be a part of the Golden Rule Home Watch and Concierge team.

Giving Back

It is our desire to live out the Golden Rule in all areas of our life. We believe that as members of a community, we should give back as much as we receive. Since making our home in Northern Virginia twenty years ago, we have volunteered our time and resources to our children’s schools, neighborhood associations, churches, and various non-profit organizations such as Generosity Feeds, Cornerstones, Central Union Mission, Western Fairfax Christian Ministries and Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Initiative.

At Golden Rule, one of our priorities is to ensure that our company is able to give back to the community we serve. One of our key goals is to help those who lack the basic necessities of life – food and shelter.
